Why study at NYU?

The Film & TV department
The Tisch School of the Arts, which is New York University's school of performing, film and media arts. The school is divided into three institutes: Performing Arts, Emerging Media and Film and Television.

Entry process for foreigners
Admission for undergraduate and graduate courses is the classic of American universities. That is, subject essays, standardized test scores (which include exams like GMAT and GRE), English proficiency test scores, letters of recommendation, and academic background are required. Enrollments are made on the university's website, through online forms and submission of documents through the platform. For Brazilians interested in studying, the University of New York accepts ENEM grades in the application process! Brazilian students can send the certificate of completion of high school and the result of the entrance exam and/or high school grade together with ENEM. In these cases, students do not need to submit SAT/ACT grades.

Scholarship

1. Merit Scholarships
  All incoming and currently enrolled students are eligible for merit scholarships at New York University. Applicants are chosen based on their CSS profile, which must be filled in when applying for admission. Individual schools at NYU offer different types of scholarships. The scholarship amount varies depending on the student's grade.

2. AnBryce Scholarships
  The AnBryce Scholarship is available to all new NYU students who have a solid academic background but lack financial support and are the first in their family to attend college. After earning this New York University Scholarship, you must be active in different program activities and maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher. The AnBryce grant is renewable for up to four years.

Costs
  A year at NYU can cost about $55,000. To this, it is still necessary to add about US$750 referring to the purchase of books and study materials.
In addition, you also have to consider the costs of living in New York. CNBC estimates that students should expect to pay about $18,600 a year for accommodation, as rent in New York is not cheap. Also adding the value of local transportation and other expenses, the costs can exceed US$ 70 thousand per year.

Can I work while studying

  When classes are in progress, students can work up to 20 hours a week. When classes are not in progress, students can work up to 35 hours per week (at the discretion of the hiring manager), which is NYU's standard full-time workweek.
